Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the HalalScreen app, visiting the HalalScreen website, or joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

HalalScreen is a dhikr-gated screen time app. It places a short dhikr requirement before selected apps on your iOS device. Completing the required dhikr temporarily unlocks the selected app.

HalalScreen uses Apple's Screen Time API and Family Controls framework to manage app restrictions. The service depends on these Apple-provided capabilities and may be affected by changes Apple makes to iOS or its APIs.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use HalalScreen. If you are under 18, you should have the consent of a parent or guardian.

Accounts and Waitlist

The waitlist requires only an email address. You are responsible for providing accurate contact information. We may remove waitlist entries that appear fraudulent or abusive.

Subscriptions and Payments

  • HalalScreen offers a free tier with core dhikr gate functionality and an optional premium subscription with additional features.
  • Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. Apple's standard terms for auto-renewing subscriptions apply.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store account settings.
  • Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policies.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
  • use the service to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • attempt to circumvent the app's security or access controls
  • use automated systems to interact with the service in ways not intended
  • misrepresent your identity when joining the waitlist or contacting support

Intellectual Property

HalalScreen, its logo, design, code, and content are owned by HalalScreen and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Your dhikr counts, streaks, and personal app data remain yours. We claim no ownership over your usage data.

Disclaimers

HalalScreen is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

HalalScreen is a screen time tool, not a substitute for professional guidance. The app's ability to restrict apps depends on Apple's Screen Time API, which may change or behave differently across iOS versions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HalalScreen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding any claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as HalalScreen changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
